I had been breeding Oberhasli for about ten years when Body Shops 21 Cherry Pie was born. She was a notable animal not only that she was the first animal of any breed to win 5 consecutive National Grand Champion titles, but that she was a high milk producing animal as well. She along with Seneca Valley's Adolpha made up the core of my breeding program. Cherry Pie produced a National Grand Champion daughter and the sire of another National Champion. Adolpha also produced a National Champion daughter and sons that have improved the breed in many other herds. Dave and Peg Daubert's Tonka Tails herd is based on these bloodlines. Body Shops 21 Cherry Pie, Body Shops Cherry Angel Cake and Body Shops Blueberry Dumpling,
who were all National Champions, were sired by Lyme Kiln SM Hans Michael. He was
bred by Audrey Hallwell and was one of the determining factors in my breeding program, as he gave the length of body, smoothness of blending, elegance, grace and udder attachment that was needed to produce top competitive animals.
Other fine animals that have come from Body Shop lines have
been Body Shops F Katie's Taco who was Reserve National Champion, Body Shops PC
Frangelico, National Jr. Champion and Body Shops SB Polenta, Reserve Jr. National Champion. Many other animals have placed high in their individual National Show classes throughout the years and many have become Grand Champion does.
I live with Marge and Earl Kitchen of Wood & Stream Farm and Creations.
All three of us own Nigerian Dwarf dairy goats, which we have been raising since
1999. Our foundation stock came from top herds such as Twin Creeks, Gay-Mor,
Goodwood and Rosasharns.
